Captain Marvel concept art suggests that Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) may be a Skrull. The former director of S.H.I.E.L.D. was a major driving force in assembling the Avengers, recruiting its members since Tony Stark's (Robert Downey Jr.) revelation that he's Iron Man. But he may not be the ally that fans thought him to be if a new illustration from the upcoming MCU film comes to fruition.
Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, Captain Marvel will take fans back to 1995 with the origin story of Carol Danvers (Brie Larson). Given the timeline, the movie will feature young (still two-eyed) Fury and fan-favorite Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) back when they were still S.H.I.E.L.D. operatives. Both will deal with the mystery that is Danvers, who is a member of the Kree elite squad known as the Starforce. At this point, Earth was caught in the middle between the ongoing brutal conflict between the Kree and Skrulls - a shapeshifting extraterrestrial race who are looking to take over the planet. Infiltration has already begun with Skrull leader, Talos (Ben Medelsohn) successfully blending in with people in the agency. But there may be another poser in the movie with Fury possibly also an imposter.
